Introducing Andrea Nyeboer

Andrea resides in Perth, Western Australia, and divides her time between training engagements in rural New South Wales, Perth and rural Western Australia. Initially in the teaching profession both in Australia and overseas, she became increasingly interested and involved in company training as she observed the growing need for communication and interaction upskilling in businesses.

Andrea has done extensive research into learning styles and personal empowerment strategies, most recently completing the Klemmer & Associates personal development curriculum, both in Australia and in the United States in 2008 and 2009.

Andrea specialises in soft skills training in the areas of negotiation, customer service, and supervision and leadership, particularly with engineering companies, where there is a tendency to focus on physical and technical problems, rather than seeing the commercial value of improving the staff dynamic.

In her workshops she addresses, among other things, the issues of different personality groups and thinking styles, distributive versus integrative negotiation and positive communication and leadership.

“A happy staff is a stable one. Losing skilled staff affects the bottom line significantly, particularly in engineering companies. Once a company sees what is possible with staff training they can dramatically improve their productivity and profit.”

Andrea is currently working on her second book on business management The Art and Heart of Doing Business, as well as a ghosted biography of one of Australia’s ‘Stolen Generation’, which is due out later in 2010.

More Empowered Negotiation, Better Bottom Line
